Cheryl A. Stanton, a shareholder of Anthony Ostlund Baer & Louwagie, practices in all areas of commercial litigation, with an emphasis in complex business litigation, shareholder disputes, franchise litigation, real estate litigation, and contract disputes.  Ms. Stanton represents large public and private companies, as well as mid-size and smaller business.

Ms. Stanton has independently tried her own cases where she has consistently obtained favorable jury verdicts for her clients. Prior to joining Anthony Ostlund Baer & Louwagie in 2006, Ms. Stanton practiced in the business litigation department at Messerli & Kramer, P.A.  Ms. Stanton is admitted to practice before the Minnesota state and federal courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Ms. Stanton has been named "Who's Who in Business Litigation" and, for several years, selected as a "Rising Star" by Minnesota Law & Politics. Ms. Stanton is a member of the firm’s Summer Associate Recruiting Committee.

Professional Activities
Ms. Stanton is a member of the Hennepin County Bar Association and the Minnesota State Bar Association.

Ms. Stanton is a contributing author of Franchise Desk Book, Selected State Law, Commentary and Case Annotations (W. Michael Garner ed., ABA Publishing, 2001) and The Franchise and Dealership Termination Handbook (Section of Antitrust Law, ABA Publishing, 2004).

Education
Ms. Stanton received her J.D. from Hamline University School of Law in 1997 where she was an editor of Hamline Law Review.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota.
