Phil Kaplan practices in all areas of business litigation. He has represented clients in a wide range of simple and complex, two-party and multiparty cases, including contract, shareholder/partnership, employment, real estate, leasing, insurance, banking and intellectual property disputes. Mr. Kaplan has participated and assisted in all aspects of the litigation process, including pleadings and motion practice, discovery, hearings, trial, appeal, and alternative dispute resolution.
Professional Activities
Mr. Kaplan was hired by the firm as a summer associate in 2007 and joined the firm on a full-time basis in 2008.
Mr. Kaplan is admitted to practice in the Minnesota federal and state courts.
Education
Mr. Kaplan received a B.B.A. in Finance and Investment Banking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2004. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2008. During law school, Mr. Kaplan was a staff member and managing editor of the Journal of Law and Inequality. |
